Le Ciel
A venue close to our hearts in our wedding planning agency as it was the venue of choice for the founder Chelsea back in 2019.
Le Ciel provides a feel of French regality, decadence and elegance. The venue itself is placed in one of the most sought-after areas of the Island, Imerovigli, surrounded by luxury villas and boutique 5-star hotels.
The venue’s attention to detail and practicality is impeccable. The venue allows a natural flow that can take you from the Iconic Caldera view ceremony and then to the indoor reception area where you still have the picturesque Caldera view.
The vehicle transfer pulls off the main road onto an aesthetically pleasing side road that separates the different lavish boutique hotels and the reputable Le Ciel venue to the left. As you step out of the vehicle onto a public pathway behind the venues you are presented by a breath-taking view of the Caldera. Before the guests even enter the venue, they almost always spend 10-15 minutes taking photos of the surrounding area. As you eventually then turn your head to view the venue you will see a small gated entrance that takes you into the ceremony area. As you step into the ceremony area, you will see the venue building sat behind on a slightly elevated position. The building has a roof terrace for guests to take another incredible view of the Caldera and it is also a great viewing spot down onto the ceremony area.
As the bride you can enter the front of the building out of sight of the guests and immediately into the venue with a small bridal area for last minute touches, words of wisdom from your family and gaining composure. At the right time, our co-ordinators will ask the guests to be seated ready for the bride’s spectacular entrance. The ceremony itself, in addition to the Caldera view sitting behind the ceremony, will host chairs and gazebo that are beautifully decorated in your choice of artificial or fresh floral arrangements with the help and appointment of a local and talented florist on the island that we will organise on your behalf. The flowers will have arrived and been refrigerated at the florist site only days before the event to ensure freshness and smell from reputable Dutch producers. At the ceremony, you may wish to have a live musician to play your sentimental song choices to add a heightened ambience and discovery of emotion when you as the bride make your spectacular entrance.
Following the ceremony, the chairs are removed leaving an open space available perfect for a cocktail hour with live entertainment whilst you and the groom spend time with the photographer. Before the reception, brides typically choose on sunset cake cutting or the first dance which is very special. Then, moving into the property, you walk directly into the reception area with a glass fronted ceiling to floor windows behind the head table creating an incredible wow factor that hits you immediately. Upon sunset the curtains are then closed for the private dinner. Past the reception is a bespoke air-conditioned dance floor with a DJ booth and high-quality speakers. Beyond the dance floor has an outdoor seating area.
The venue is a fantastic venue that diligently balances indoor with an incredible natural flow. The professional kitchen is hidden out the way of the guest areas and the food is spectacular. The venue is glamorous in its own right, but like anywhere, there is ample opportunity to add extra aesthetic layers such as chandeliers, fairy lights and floor fireworks that helps to make your day sparkle.
When the evening frivolities end, the music will gradually come to a close and our wedding co-ordinators will escort the guests to their carriages which will be waiting at the venue entrance.
