Santorini Gem is located on the spectacular Caldera cliffs of Santorini over the Aegean Sea. The villa is one of the largest villas on the Island that was renovated into a specialised wedding venue. Within their grounds they have beautiful landscaped gardens and courtyard. Perfect for cocktail hours and live performers. The wedding aisle is quite possibly the longest and most desired aisle for the bride and bridal party to walk down. The venue is located close to one of the most traditional villages in Santorini; Pyrgos.
The vehicle transfer gradually stops on a driveway at the top of a large hill following a significant ascent and only 8 minutes from the capital, Thira. As you step outside the vehicle you are presented by a substantial gated and private complex that has a private luxury villa feel. Moving into the property, you naturally flow into a private courtyard surrounded by aesthetic stone walling and authentic outside flooring with visuals of a grand villa ahead and beautifully presented landscaping including palm trees providing an opulent backdrop. This is the perfect space to welcome guests on arrival with the option of smooth strings, pianist, or
saxophonist live entertainment to acclimatise guests to your special day.
At the right time, our co-ordinators will escort the guests further into the villa, stepping onto one of the longest wedding aisles on the island with prominent red flooring leading to the guests first glimpse of the miraculous Caldera view sitting behind the ceremony by which time the chairs and gazebo will be fully decorated in your choice of artificial or fresh floral arrangements with the help and appointment of a local and talented florist on the island that ourselves will organise on your behalf. The flowers will have arrived and been refrigerated at the florist site only days before the event to ensure freshness and smell from reputable Dutch producers. At the ceremony, you may wish to have a live musician to play your sentimental song choices to add a heightened ambience and discovery of emotion when you as the bride make your spectacular entrance.
Surrounding the ceremony area, on one side of the aisle, you will see a glass fronted building which many use as a lounge area. Set slightly back is the bar area
with another glassed fronted building opposite the bar which is usually used to host the dining area. Your table floral decorations and chosen favours with a guest seating plan on entrance. The glass enclosure is a touch of genius to be seated technically indoors but ability to view the venues landscaping and Caldera views provides an alfresco dining experience with the enclosed practicality against wind and
general weather.
As guests begin to be seated, you will either be present in the villa or arrive after guests arrive and head directly into the separate bridal suite that accommodates the bridal party with comfortable seating and changing facilities. It’s a relaxing and air-conditioned environment that allows you as the bride to settle last minute nerves as much as possible before stepping onto the aisle for your momentous entrance.
Another beneficial feature of the venue, just off the ceremony area, is access to the Villa’s pool and terrace which is another fantastic spot for post ceremony cocktails and live entertainment. During which time the ceremony area will be rearranged into the reception dance floor with the option of fairy lighting above and floor/sky fireworks at a special moment such as first dance or cake cutting to enhance the ambience and events of the day.
When the evening frivolities end, the music will gradually come to a close and our wedding co-ordinators will escort the guests to their carriages which will be waiting at the venue entrance.
